AQA - A Level
A Level Business students explore how businesses operate in a range of
contexts, from small start-ups to global corporations and across sectors such as
primary, secondary and tertiary. The course develops an understanding of how
business functions; like marketing, finance, operations and human resources are
interrelated and influenced by factors such as competition, ethics, globalisation and
technological change. Students are encouraged to make informed decisions using
both qualitative and quantitative data, while considering the impact on a range of
stakeholders. At A Level, there is a strong focus on strategic decision-making, risk
assessment and critical thinking. Real-world case studies and current business
developments are central to the course, helping students apply their learning to
real-life scenarios.

This BTEC Business course covers four key units: Exploring Business, where
students learn how organisations operate; Developing a Marketing Campaign,
creating a real-world campaign; Personal and Business Finance, focusing on
budgeting and financial decision-making; and Work Experience in Business,
providing practical insight through a placement. The course combines theory with
hands-on learning, preparing students for further study and the workplace.
