Are you passionate about sport, fitness and health? This dynamic, career-focused
course combines academic knowledge with practical skills to prepare you for
university or employment in the sports and fitness industry.
You’ll explore how the body works, how to assess and improve performance and
how lifestyle factors like nutrition and psychology affect training. The course opens
doors to careers in coaching, personal training, health promotion and more.

programmes.

Construction and the Built Environment

This option is suitable for students looking to develop their applied knowledge
and skills in Building and Construction alongside other A Levels; Maths, Design
Technology, Physics and Art are especially relevant.
The qualification has been developed with universities and professional bodies
to ensure students have the knowledge, understanding and skills they need to
progress to and thrive in higher education.
Students will gain learn about:
• Construction materials and technologies
• Consideration of sustainability in the design of new buildings
• Use of mathematical techniques in construction contexts
• Technical design including sketching and the use of Revit, cost control, retrofit
and BIM

AQA - A Level
This creative and thought-provoking qualification gives students the practical
skills, theoretical knowledge and confidence to succeed in a number of careers.
Especially those in the creative and technical industries. They will investigate
historical, social, cultural, environmental and economic influences on design and
technology, whilst enjoying opportunities to put their learning in to practice by
producing prototypes and portfolios on their personal journey. Students will gain
a real understanding of what it means to be a designer, alongside the knowledge
and skills sought by higher education and employers. This course is facilitated by
industry standard technology and equipment including CAD CAM. Students must
also demonstrate maths and science skills.

The full A Level is completed
