T-Levels are two-year Level 3 qualifications equivalent
to three A Levels, combining classroom learning
with industry experience. They prepare students for
university or Higher Apprenticeships. At Thomas Telford
UTC, students develop core skills for careers in Digital
or Construction sectors.
Industry Placements
We arrange 320-hour industry placements, giving
students real-world experience through professional
team involvement and live projects, with employers
across the West Midlands.
Entry Requirements
Applicants need grade 4+ in English Literature and
Language and grade 5+ in Mathematics to ensure
strong literacy and numeracy skills.
How to Apply
Applications are competitive. Construction applicants
must attend an employer interview; Digital offers
are based on predicted grades with interviews after
confirmation. Conditional offers are confirmed on GCSE
results day.

more important, the demand for skilled construction
professionals is growing rapidly. Our two-year T-Level
in Construction is designed to equip you with the core
knowledge, practical skills and real-world experience
needed to launch a successful career across a wide
range of construction roles.
This comprehensive course covers essential topics such
as building technology, materials, design, surveying,
site management, health and safety and sustainable
construction practices. You’ll also have the opportunity
to acquire your Green CSCS card at the start of the
programme, along with access to heavily subsidised
Personal Protective Equipment where required.
We work closely with our Employer Partners to confirm
placements before the course begins. Typically, we
offer around 12 placements each year and only enrol
students once a placement is secured; ensuring every
learner benefits from meaningful, hands-on experience.

two-year T-Level in Digital Support & Services equips

launch a career as a cyber security specialist.
This course covers core principles of digital
infrastructure, networking and support, before allowing
you to specialise in the exciting field of cyber security.
You will learn how to identify vulnerabilities, prevent
malicious attacks and implement robust security
measures to protect organisations.
The Digital T-Level program is designed in partnership
with digital employers to ensure industry-relevant
content that prepares students for the workplace. They
equip learners with the practical skills and experience
needed to progress into skilled employment,
Apprenticeships, or higher education.
